How to Maintain Your Loved One’s Physical, Emotional & Mental Health During Covid 19?

Being in our homes has some perks, but erratic eating of potato chips while freaking out at the news, is wreaking havoc our physical & mental health. Some may restrict their eating, sometimes in an attempt to feel control over something during a time of great uncertainty. Furthermore, in the current pandemic situation, fear around the cost of future is affecting the behavior of many people.

With people feeling unsure about their next paycheck, seeing empty shelves at the grocery store and spending days on end at home, it’s no surprise that stress is a real thing.

But no matter how much you try to forgo eating, stress is the main thing that makes you do it. What you really need to deal is handling quarantine stress.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines quarantine as separating and restricting the movement of people who have been exposed to a contagious disease to see if they then become ill. Because some diseases can be contagious even if people do not yet have symptoms, this step minimizes the spread of the illness during the asymptomatic period.

You must incorporate healthy ways that helps you stop stress-snacking and start eating better. After all, this is the time when you truly should be supporting your immune system if you want to fight COVID-19.

You have to make yourself healthier by consuming foods that are rich in vitamin and nutrients. We advise you to keep your fridge and pantry stocked up with healthy staples. Fresh, frozen fruits and veggies, Beans & legumes, Rice, whole wheat pasta and nuts are great on the long run.

We suggest structuring your time much like a regular workday. Eating regular meals with other at home and staying connected with friends through phone or social media is a great booster. Listen to the music, read religious books to stay calm. Pump up your happy hormone by doing some physical activity.
